What is PNR Charting?

Train chart is the final list of passengers who have got their train tickets confirmed for traveling through the same train on same time. Basically, charting is the procedure through which the waiting list members can be assured whether their tickets have been confirmed or not.

The train fare chart is created separately for each station lying in the train route. The first train chart preparation is done usually 4 hours before departure of train from the originating station.

The final chart preparation time for each station is 30 minutes before the departure of the train. During this preparation of train chart, the remaining seats which didn’t get confirmed during the first time are considered and marked as confirmed.

Considering the major terms and conditions of train chart preparation, once the chart is prepared, the people having confirmed tickets won’t be able to cancel it.
